Yes, it’s true, Rital Date by Versatile Paris is a pesto perfume. It was no easy feat to contrast a vegetal pesto accord with vibrant lemon citrus, let alone to accent it with with savory notes of fennel, olive oil, oregano and cypress, and then to finish it off with a pistachio ice cream accord. Yet somehow the resulting blend is still compellingly wearable — a must-smell dinner date in Italy.
